The Impulse Group provides specialist control system support for the Gateshead Millennium Bridge, one of the UK’s most recognisable pieces of moving infrastructure.

We are responsible for the ongoing reliability and performance of the bridge’s programmable control and monitoring systems, ensuring safe and dependable operation of its motion and associated systems.

What we deliver

Our work covers the core PLC, HMI, and networked control architecture that governs bridge operation and monitoring.

This includes:

• Fault finding and technical troubleshooting on live control systems

• Failure investigations and root cause analysis
